PUBLIC NOTICE
NOMINATING PETITIONS
CROSWELL CITY COUNCIL
All City of Croswell residents desiring to qualify as candidates for election to City Council must file a properly executed Affidavit of Identity and properly executed Nominating Petition(s) no later than 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at the City Clerk's Office, 100 N. Howard, Croswell, MI 48422. The following terms will be elected:
Two (2) City Council Members - four-year terms beginning January 1, 2025
Nominating petitions must be signed by not less than twenty (20) nor more than forty (40) registered electors of the City. Completed Affidavits of Identity and Proof of Citizenship must accompany the petitions when received at the City Clerk's office. Blank nominating petitions and Affidavit of Identity forms are available at the City Clerk's office.
"No person shall be eligible to any elective office whom is default to the City and unless he/she is a duly registered elector in the City, and has been a resident of the City for one (1) year immediately prior to the election at which he/she is a candidate for office." (Section 3.3 of the City Charter).
This notice is published by requirement of the Croswell City Charter, Section 2.9.
